Our Services:
NDIS Participants
Life-Fit Exercise Physiology is a registered NDIS Provider and each participant is assessed to ensure their program is tailored to individual needs and goals and is evidence based. Our EP has over 7 years experience within the everchanging NDIS space, and has worked with patients who have Multiple Sclerosis, Depressive Schizophrenia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD and anxiety. Each program aims to help each participant achieve independence, improve function and reduce symptoms while being fun, interactive and becoming a life long habit!
My Aged Care
Our highly experienced AEP is available to provide home support to My Aged Care participants to improve functional strength, balance to reduce risk of falls and improve quality of life. All My Aged Care programs are targeted to individual goals to align with any treatments, co-morbidities and to reduce side effects. Strength training is one of the best medicines to combat muscle loss, bone density loss and reduction of function, and can be done in both one-to-one and group settings!
Exercise Oncology
Oncology treatment, while life-saving, can have very significant side effects. Research shows Exercise is Medicine and can mitigate many, if not all, side effects of cancer treatment and improve survivorship and quality of life exponentially. Group settings can increase social support and shared experience, so many cancer survivors can get the benefits of exercise while having a great time.
Chronic conditions include: chronic pain, chronic fatigue, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, arthritis and more. Regular exercise may seem impossible, but with a targeted program, SMART goals and encouragement from an individual or group setting it can be a reality! Exercise is shown to have multiple health benefits for chronic conditions and can improve quality of life and longevity.
Suffering from a painful injury? Can’t wait to get back to the gym, walking or back in the water? A targeted rehabilitation and strength program may be just what you need. Often acute or short term injuries become a chronic issue without the proper treatment. Break the cycle now and take back control so you can move how you want when you want.
Regular exercise is well documented to help with mental health conditions such as depression, stress and anxiety. IT can boost mood, self esteem and improve sleep and cognitive function. The correct exercise looks different to everybody, and needs to be tailored to your treatment and goals. Group exercise can also provide safe and fun social interaction, and encourage social connection.
